April Butterfield, an Engineering Expert

WITI_resizedThe Jabil Joules network is often able to highlight an expert within our group for being publicly recognized for their expertise. We’re delighted the Tampa chapter of Women in Technology International (WITI) asked April Butterfield, Senior Director of Technology in Jabil’s Engineered Solutions Group (ESG), to present on the ever-evolving Internet of Things (IoT) during their recent chapter meeting.

April shared information regarding the economic impact of connected devices in the next 10 or so years. She explained that according to McKinsey Global Institute via Entrepreneur.com, IoT has the potential to create an economic impact of $2.7 trillion to $6.2 trillion annually by the year 2025.

April began her career with Jabil in 2005 as the first engineer hired for the Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) team. Under her leadership, VAVE grew into a worldwide organization, serving customers across the Jabil enterprise. In 2013, April joined Jabil’s Engineering & Technology Services team, supporting engineering capabilities across all of Jabil’s divisions before transitioning into the ESG team.
